At Roland & Romaine School of Dance, we are committed to providing a positive, professional, and well-organized environment where dancers can grow with confidence, discipline, and joy. The following policies help ensure clarity, consistency, and respect for all members of our dance family.
Class Placement & Scheduling
- Every effort is made to place each dancer in an age- and level-appropriate class.
- Final class placement is determined at the discretion of the Dance Director, based on evaluation, experience, and overall class balance.
- Roland & Romaine reserves the right to combine, reschedule, or cancel classes temporarily or permanently due to enrollment or operational needs.
- Teachers and instructors are subject to change without notice.
Weather & Emergency Closures
- In the event of extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances, classes may be cancelled for safety reasons.
- In the event of bad or uncertain winter weather, we will post an update on our studio answering machine and send an email no later than 1 hour before your scheduled class time.
Because conditions can change quickly, we ask all families to call the studio or check email to confirm classes during questionable weather.
Personal Belongings & Studio Etiquette
- Roland & Romaine is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or stolen items. Please avoid bringing valuables to the studio.
- All jackets and boots must be left in the lobby. Hangers and cubbies are provided for convenience.
- Food and beverages must be consumed in the hallway at the designated counters. No food is permitted in the lobby or studios.
- We strive to maintain a nut-free and scent-aware facility and appreciate the cooperation of all families.
Tuition & Payment Policies
Class Pricing & Fee Structure
Full-Year Recreational Classes (September–June):
- 45-minute class: $740 + HST
- 60-minute class: $760 + HST
- Please inquire directly for Competitive Team fees and policies.
Storydance & Kinderdance Programs:
- Seasonal sessions
- Fall Session: $250 + HST
Additional Fees:
- Non-refundable Registration Fee: $50 per student, due at time of registration
- Multiple Class Discount: $40 off each additional class
- Tuition does not include recital or costume fees
Payment Schedule
- Tuition is typically divided as follows:
- Competitive Students: Monthly payments
- Recreational Students: Bi-monthly payments
- Fees are posted to your StudioPro Parent Portal on the first of each month (or first business day).
- Families enrolled in Auto-Pay will have payments processed automatically.
- Those not enrolled in Auto-Pay are responsible for submitting payments through their Parent Portal or directly in studio.
- Please contact studio management if you wish to pay in full or require alternate payment arrangements.
Registration & Payment Information
- To secure a spot in a class, all families must complete online registration through StudioPro, including payment of the non-refundable $50 registration fee.
- Roland & Romaine accepts major credit cards, debit, and cash.
- If a credit card payment is declined, studio administration will notify the account holder.
- Outstanding or declined payments must be resolved within the same month. Accounts may be subject to a $25 late or administrative fee if not promptly addressed.
Refund Policy
- Tuition and fees are non-refundable.
- Refunds will only be issued if a program is cancelled by Roland & Romaine management.
Competitive Team Policies
- Competitive Team dancers are governed by additional policies related to commitment, fees, attendance, and performance expectations.
