2021 Health and Safety Protocol
We ask that each day before entering the studio, you complete the Government of Ontario self-assessment FOUND HERE, as well as available via QR code on site.
Upon arrival, please proceed down the stairs on the RIGHT and wait on the red X for an R&R staff member to complete a temperature scan and record your assessment before entering the studio. If there are others waiting to be scanned, please stop on the corresponding Xs throughout the stairwell. In an attempt to lessen the number of people in-and-out of the studio, we ask that only participating students enter the building if possible.
Once inside the studio, please find a cubby for your belongings. These cubbies will be disinfected every evening. We ask students to please come dressed in dance clothes, limiting the need to change between each class. We suggest dance-shorts/legging with a t-shirt/tank top, sweatpants to slip on overtop for hip hop, etc. If you need to change, we ask dancers to use the washrooms, as the change room will be off-limits for now.
In accordance with current regulations, masks are to be worn at all times while in the studio until further notice. In the dance room, each dancer will find their own taped off 6’x8’ dance space. If individual instruction/assistance is needed during class (eg. Acro), a face shield and/or gloves may be used, as well as sanitization before and after.
When there are 2 classes running at once, the start/end times will be staggered to alleviate congestion in the hallway, cubbies, and bathrooms. Flow throughout the studios and down the hallway will move in a counter-clockwise direction.
We ask to limit the meals being eaten at the studio whenever possible. There will be a snack break for dancers who are in for more than 2 hours of dance. We will have limited space available should dancers need more than a quick snack; this area will be cleaned after each use.
The studio is set up with several hand sanitizing stations throughout. Common area surfaces will be cleaned multiple times per day, and the studio will be disinfested daily using an EnviroNize fogger with an all-natural antibacterial/antimicrobial solution.
Roland & Romaine is committed to keeping the studio a safe and healthy environment for all. Our safety protocols may continue to change over time as the city and the studio adapt. We thank you for your patience, support, and suggestions.
